Come color this exotic desert tutorial with me?
Three Tutorial Tuesdays in a row!?! I’m on a roll folks…
This week we are going to color one of the new releases, Demera Mother of Dragons, with a simple desert background using Copics (or your choice of coloring tool, provided you’re familiar with your tools).
If you don’t already have Demera Mother of Dragons, you can grab it here: http://faeryink.com/product/demera-mother-of-dragons-digital-stamp/
The colors I’m using are listed on the video by code for Copics users. I also share the color palette for those of you using a different brand or coloring tool so you can just eyeball the colors to match with what you’ve got and follow along. I don’t have YG07 mentioned or listed in the video but I do use it. You can skip it, it’s really not a big deal. Use YG09 instead =) Also we use C9 to fill in her eyelashes and pupils because my printer doesn’t print her out in pure, dark black so I like to darken these areas. You may or may not have to do this.
Here’s the Copics list in case you want to have them on hand before starting the video…
E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E50, E53, E55, E57, YR31, YR21, YG21, YG03, YG07, YG09, RV00, RV52, RV32, RV34, V12, V15, BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, C9, R24, R27, R39
I also use a white gel pen.
You can skip the white gel pen if you don’t have one, but it’s nice for some little details at the end.
I hope you enjoy the video, learn something new and have a fantastic week!
