Samantha’s Inspiration ~ Gabbie Spring Blessings

posted in: Creativity, DT Inspiration | 1

Hello Faery Ink fans!

Can anyone else believe we are in MARCH already?! Hopefully warmer weather coming up!

For this month’s inspirational post, I used Gabbie Spring Blessings. I thought this little beauty just needed to be surrounded by elements of spring, and what better way to do that, then to add some new budding trees and some fresh little flowers all encompassed with greenery!

I just love this side step card they are easy to make, and just show case elements beautifully!
The grass, and fence were created and cut with my handy dandy silhouette, and the trees were created with the print and cut feature. I then added some lilac, yellow, white, and pink flowers (punch) to the trees to show their off the trees new little blooms.
To frame the image I used the same hot pink as her shirt to cut a circle out. I think this really made the POP! I also added just some little rhinestones on the flowers around her and – VOILA!

I hope that you will take a look at the Faery Ink Store and try your hand at any one of these amazing images.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello There! My name is Samantha and I'm married to a wonderful man, who has been recently medically retired from the U.S.M.C. He completely supports my crafting addiction, and between the two of us we have one room completely dedicated to our hobbies. While I scrapbook, make cards, and color, he is building model cars – so in a way we share a hobby which is so perfect! Last June I became a mom to a beautiful little girl. She lights up my world in a way I never thought possible. I've been a creative and crafty person for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl I always wanted to do Arts & Crafts, what I didn't realize then is how much more fun it is as an adult! :) I have been scrap-booking, and card-making for about 6 years now and I enjoy every minute of it. I have always enjoyed coloring and I purchased the full set of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers about 3 years ago and then pencils last year. I continue to grow, learn, and adapt as a paper crafter and I really enjoy participating in things that push me out of my comfort zone. One of my New Years Resolution's (as a crafter) is to branch out more and dabble in different styles such as Mixed Media, Vintage, and Shabby Chic which are areas I love, but I'm too intimidated to try. So proud to design for Faery Ink!!
