Tina’s Inspiration: Ophelia the Anti-Cupid

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be posting my very first project as a Faery Ink design team member.

I had the pleasure to guest design for Faery Ink back in June 2016. After being a part of the team for a month, I knew I wanted a spot on the design team. I applied in December and was accepted! Thank you, Amanda!

For my first project, I used the newly released Ophelia the Anti-Cupid. Isn’t she gorgeous?!

As I was working with her, I was wondering what an Anti-Cupid is. (I know, I know, I’m sheltered. Haha) I knew by the title she was not a Cupid, but I wanted to know more. So, I went to Google. (Seriously, my best friend…since I am so “sheltered”) Here is what I found…

Anti-Cupid is the Anti-Fairy counterpart of Cupid. (Villain’s Wikia).

The opposite of a matchmaker. Someone with nothing better to do than break up a couple or at least make mischief, make problems, or make matters worse for them. (Urban Dictionary)

I feel smarter now! How about you?

Copic Markers used

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20 & R30 (blush)

Hair: E29, E25, E11

Wings: E34, W09, W07, W05

Eyes: YG07, YG11

Dress, bow and hearts: R24, W09, W07, W05

I decided to color Ophelia the Anti-Cupid a couple of times. I really liked the way my first card turned out, but thought she would also look great on a CAS card. What does CAS mean? Clean and Simple. In other words, not a lot of fufu like the first card I made. To be honest, while I love to see CAS cards, they are harder for me to make than the one’s with a lot of embellishments. I always feel like I should be adding something.

As you can see, I still layered the CAS card. I love using layers. Not only does it make a nice frame for the image, it gives your card a bit of depth.

My five year old saw me coloring Ophelia the Anti-Cupid and had to color her too. She’s really been into coloring and making cards lately. She sends them to my sister, Aunt Daisy to her, who is fighting lung cancer. It makes Daisy feel so special =)

I love crafting with kids…seeing their little creative minds work.

Digi’s are perfect for people of all ages and all skill levels. What I love about them most is that you can print them in different sizes. You can also print multiple copies.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will come back and visit again soon!

Stay At Home Mom

Hello! My name is Tina. I am a stay at home wife and mom to 4. We live in the beautiful state of Alaska. I started scrapbooking when I was about 19. Over the last 7 years I have grown and expanded my crafting world to all sorts of different crafts. Sewing, card making, altering items, pallet crafts, upcycling furniture, and mixed media. About a year and a half ago, I started coloring. Coloring quickly became my one favorite kinds of crafting. I find it very relaxing and therapeutic. My all time favorite craft projects are the ones that we work on as a family. It's a great way to bond and to learn to work together as a team.
