The Art Vuh-blog: Kitty Jack-o-Lantern

Hello! Hello! Hello! =)

I thought it would be handy to start adding new You Tube videos over here. A nice way to keep up with doing them since I tend to collect lots and lots of video footage and don’t get around to actually editing and uploading it until a couple months have passed. Perhaps putting it on a schedule and having the blog to keep me on task will help with it. Plus it gives everyone an easier way to comment or ask questions, I think? Not that that helps the YouTube aggregates or algorithms or whatever that stuff is lol. But I’m not particularly big on that kind of stuff anyway.

Unfortunately I did the voice overs for all of this month’s videos on the same day and I’m developing a cold so there’s a bit of mouth breathing and sniffling lol.. So for that I apologize. It doesn’t help that I’ve gotten a bit rusty. Meh! In case you missed the huge video up there at the top of the page ^^ Here’s a smaller version you can check out instead..

Today’s video is Kitty Jack-o-Lantern. This image will be coming to the shop on the 13th as part of a fun Halloween event with the Markers! Papers! Digis! group. If you’re not already a member you really should pop in and join us. We’re just wrapping up a fun September event ‘Once Upon a Time, A Storybook Critters Challenge’. For this challenge several digi artists offered a few $1 critter digis. I offered a dark and spooky raven which I called Nevermore and came with a few storybook themed sentiments…

I had a ton of fun getting messy with him too.. In fact I made a beautiful (if I must say so myself!) mixed media canvas with him which I shared a little bit of the making of in this video below. Unfortunately, my voice was a little low in this 🙁 Sorry!!

Don’t forget! You only have until October 8th to get signed up for the Faery Ink Halloween Flip Book Swap!! If you have no idea what flip books are or how to make them – never fear… Paula has made a fabulous How to series on making these super simple Flip Books,
