Special Release – Ophelia in Wonderland – Alice

posted in: Miscellaneous | 2

How puzzling all these changes are! I’m never sure what I’m going to be, from one minute to another….

Did you know that although Alice is portrayed as a blonde in the original illustrations by John Tenniel, the character was actually based on Alice Liddell who was a little brunette girl.

Ophelia in Wonderland as Alice by Amanda S Byron www.faeryink.com

Alice Liddell was the daughter of Lewis Carroll’s boss, the dean of the college where Carroll taught math in Oxford, England. Carroll wanted to become a priest but he had a stutter that prevented him so instead he went into mathematics and writing.I am certainly grateful!

We have one more release in the Ophelia in Wonderland series.. The Queen of Hearts arrives next month…(August 24th!) Then a new Ophelia series will begin. What will it be?? Who knows!?! Not me! I’m still deciding haha..

I hope you enjoy the new image!!!!!! Click to grab her in the shop =)

Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a fantastic week. Don’t forget to pop in on Friday for our regularly scheduled programming ;)
