Thrifty Thursdays

posted in: Randomness | 1

I love to save a little money without sacrificing quality. This is not always an easy thing to do as the old adage is often true, “You get what you pay for”. So I have spent most of my adulthood learning when to spot a bargain and where to go to find one. Thrifty Thursdays is my way to share this knowledge with you, dear reader.

What you are likely to see here:

My thrift store finds that I plan to repurpose, resell or just love and got for a steal.

Bargain bin treasures

Sales or coupons I come across for things that I find useful or think you might find useful

Chances are this will not be a weekly feature but when I’ve found a good deal and want to share it, Thrifty Thursdays is where you’ll find it!

Stationery at The Target Dollar Spot

All of the planner girls I follow on Instagram rant and rave about their Target dollar spot finds, so I had to check it out. Everything you see in this photo was $1 except for the block stamps (congrats, hello, thank you etc…) in the upper right corner which were $3.

Some of my favorites from this haul are the “Pretty Little Notes” notepad which actually has graph paper inside. (Hello bullet lists!) I also really like that the ‘Jot it Down!’ notepad contains blank white sheets so I can use this to quickly sketch an idea I have for a new stamp just as easily as I can use it to just jot down something I need to do or want to remember. I am pleasantly surprised at how nice the pens write as well. And we can never have enough pencils around this house since my kids are always giving away their pencils at school =)

I walked away with easily 6 months of office supplies for under $20. For me, that’s a great deal. So I thought I would share it with you. Moral of the story: Check out the dollar spot next time you’re at Target and in need of stationery.

What about you?

Do you have a favorite place to get your stationery cheap? Any stationery pieces that you consider a ‘must-have’?

If you head over to your local Target and find something awesome in the dollar spot I would love to hear about it! Comment below and let me know what you found!
