And I feel just awful. I guess it’s the flu. My throat is horrible sore, I’m congested, feverish and walking 3 feet feels like climbing a mountain. Oh it’s a nasty one alright. I wouldn’t even be out here right now except that if I am not out here when bedtime for the kids rolls around they will stay up all night and I’ll have school admins calling me first thing in the morning expecting me to come retrieve my hooligans.
But there is good news, being pretty much bed-ridden has left me with just a few things I am capable of doing without passing out. Reading, watching television, listening to a little music on my Kindle, writing for very short spans of time (it’s surprisingly taxing) and my favorite – drawing. Frequently I am doing a couple of these at the same time but mostly it’s been drawing and listening to music or drawing and watching television. I have drawn, oh, about 10 new digi stamps. I was thinking of what kind of things I felt were under-represented in the crafting community and I realized there are so few Pagan stamps. I find this particularly odd because myself and nearly all of my pagan friends are very creative, crafty people. So I’ve drawn up Brighid for Imbolc, Ostara for Spring Equinox and the one I think came out best which is a little witchy with her familiar, a kitty. I also made what I am calling my “Gnomie Homies”. They are really cute! And then my “Creepers” which are cute in a creepy way and really geared for people with…interesting tastes? hehe. I can’t wait until I feel better so I can scan them all in and get started on them in Illustrator.
Speaking of drawings, I drew a really cute fairy godmother for my friend Alisha before this funky flu decided to make me it’s new vacation rental:
I think she came out so adorable. She isn’t available for use as I am making her into a word press theme for Alisha as soon as this nasty flu goes away. Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and let you know I haven’t kicked the bucket… yet. It certainly feels that I will at times but I’m a trooper! Thanks for visiting!
